GoFundMe

With Jessica taking a leave of absence from work to focus 100% on Lucy, the GoFundMe was established to help take the burden off of the family to cover Lucy's medical expenses. Unbelievably, we have already been able to raise over $30,000 for the family that has gone into a "medical" account and is already being tapped into to help the family stay current on their medical bills. With Lucy's treatment being so extensive, Jessica is estimated to be away from work for at least another 12 months, so this has been an amazing help to support the family financially through the next year.

Food Delivery Services

With the family being separated so often while Lucy is frequently in and out of the hospital, their weekly routine gets turned upside down during those times and meal planning goes out the window.

One area of need that has helped them while Lucy is in the hospital are gift cards from DoorDash and GrubHub. It allows Jessica to get a break from hospital food and get a meal for one delivered to the hospital, or it allows Jordan to get a quick meal for one delivered to the house after working and not stressing about shopping or cooking. It also allows them to treat their immediate family coming to help take care of Charlotte to an occasional family meal.

If you would like to send a gift card to the family, please use the following links and send it to Jordan's e-mail: jtdonmoyer@gmail.com

Organizations We Love

Below are a handful of local organizations that we have come to appreciate so much. Please take the time to learn more about what they are doing to help support local families fighting pediatric cancer and consider supporting one or more if you are looking for an organization worthy of your donations

Fourth and Gold

Fourth and Gold is a local organization started by one of Lucy's favorite nurses on Weaver 4, who runs this organization in her "free time."

You know, when she's not helping kids beat cancer.

Her mission is near and dear to our hearts, as she is trying to help put more focus on more humane cures for pediatric cancer…

With limited funding, advancements have been scarce — only 3 new treatments have been developed since 1980 for childhood cancers.

As their best option for treatment, many children are suffering through harsh clinical studies that cause life-altering short-term and long-term damage to their health. Even when treatments are successful at eliminating cancer, the dramatic negative effects caused as a result are severe.

Children with cancer and their families are far overdue for more humane cures and Fourth and Gold believes that finding and funding the most promising research is the best way to move the ball down the field.

V for Victory

One of our favorite restaurants V Pizza, started a foundation for local families fighting cancer called V for Victory. They provide a re-loadable gift card to all families for 1 free meal every week from any of their locations, and send out a list every month of complimentary services donated by local businesses.

They have been so helpful allowing us to continue normal maintenance on everything from our house, cars, and even getting Fitz groomed, all with nothing out of pocket from us. It is truly an amazing organization!

We are here to assist anyone fighting ANY type of cancer. Our goal is to help provide resources and services, at no cost, to local families and individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer. We have partnered with over 100 local businesses to provide as many services as possible.

Dreams Come True

Dreams Come True of Jacksonville focus on creating special memories for kids going through serious medical issues.

They have hosted us on many occasions, including a drive-thru trunk or treat, making Lucy's Halloween a memorable one, as well as bringing a drive-in movie to our backyard!

Dreams come in all shapes and sizes; some children ask for a trip to Disney World, a cruise or the opportunity to meet a celebrity. For others, the dream is seeing snow or snuggling with their very own puppy. Whatever the dream may be, it’s the momentary reprieve from doctor visits, tests and medical treatments that makes all the difference.

As the First Coast’s only locally-based organization dedicated to making dreams come true, we are proud to say that we have never turned away a dreamer and we never will

Support Pics Jay Fund.jpg

Tom Coughlin Jay Fund

The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund helps families in New Jersey and Jacksonville who are battling pediatric cancer, not only financially, but with events and support to help the family and the child to cope with their fight.

They have helped us from the start of Lucy's diagnosis by providing Publix gift cards every month to help with our groceries. They send care packages during the holidays and host numerous events including talent shows and puppet shows, both in person and virtually, that Lucy loves to be a part of!

From diagnosis to recovery and beyond, the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund is part of the team, allowing parents to solely focus on their child’s well being. The goal is to BE THERE for parents facing the unthinkable by paying household bills, creating a financial game plan, and making a child’s life brighter.

The Jay Fund chooses to BE THERE for parents so they can be there for their child.
